world lupus month

Just a quick reminder that October is World Lupus Awareness Month. There has been a little confusion in the past, as the national awareness month for lupus in The United States is May.

Worldwide however and in various other countries, October is still recognised as an awareness month. There has been some debate as to whether we should bundle everything into May, but at this stage we just try to make the most of all the awareness we can generate and receive.

Hi,
i just new comer to your blog and i'm a lupus patient as well, in our country we didn't heard about lupus awareness on October.
What kind of awareness will you do?
is there any files of brochures that i can help to distribute in our neighborhood?
Thanks,

Thanks so much for your comment - If you search for "lupus Indonesia" on this blog you will see some posts and links for indonesian organizations. Otherwise... on the "Org" page of The Lupus Magazine - www.thelupusmagazine.com - we list the Indonesian organisations and they will be able to help you with awareness for lupus ~

i believe it used to be october here in the US but it is so overshadowed by breast cancer being in october that we had to move it.
